Following the success of our last campaign, Project R and DDDDDHK are taking our collaboration to another level. Designed by a Hongkonger in Japan, the JTHK Childwear collection builds on the JTHK Series and continues its message of weaving our resistance into the fabric of daily life.ย ย
We hope to focus our project on the next generation. When so many are losing hope in the future of Hong Kong, we wonder what our de facto future, our children, think of the future of their home?

Our memories reverberate in space, reverberating across time, and tell stories to the void. The void connects the voice of the past and echoes with the future. When the space compresses and expels its elements, how do the elements reconstruct the space?ย
Perhaps the answer could be found in the innocence of our children. Innocence does not despair and it cannot be distressed. Perhaps, in innocence we could reclaim our space and take in every last breath of freedom despite all the pressure in the world.

The designer brought the summits to life with simple touches. They tower against whatever may come, sheltering our children in the worst of times.ย

These products are designed by DDDDDHK, an initiative started by Japan-based Hongkongers. DDDDDHK strives to show their support to the movement in Hong Kong through their creatives. The materials and cutting of the JTHK series are different from those of the fast-moving fashion market. They are manufactured with high quality cotton fabrics and meticulously printed in Taiwan. The raw materials, including fabrics, printing screens and sewing materials, are sourced in Taiwan and the high-tough pigments for printing from Japan. The entire production plan was done with close collaboration of various parties. The execution, ranging from factory and material selection, sales, customer services, marketing to logistics, are accomplished by a group of young and diligent team of Project R who are mostly students and fresh-graduates.

We asked children to illustrate the ideal Hong Kong in their mind by drawing. We want to listen to their voices and meet Hong Kong again through fresh eyes. The innocence of Children perseveres in tumultuous times and our connection and courage must likewise persevere.
